Brandon began receiving County Board services in 1997. The County Board was able to fund waiver services for him that began in 2002. These supports over the years have allowed him the opportunity to move into an apartment on his own which is exactly what he needed. He has an incredible support system that includes friends, family, providers and the County Board. These supports have created an atmosphere of developing and furthering his independence. He has mowed yards over the years on his own but started working at Statewide in early 2017. He loves his job and the staff loves him. They enjoy interacting with him and have purchased nice gifts for his birthday. His co-workers have provided a supportive environment for him to work in which has allowed him to feel like a valued member of the team. The support he has received has opened up opportunities that have changed his life by giving him satisfaction and accomplishment. He is very thankful for all the services he has received over the years.
