Kathy has received County Board services since 1993. The County Board was able to fund her waiver services in 2001. The support she has received from her friends, family, MRSI staff and the County Board has given her the opportunity to develop continued independence. She went from attending Thomas Edison 5 days a week to working at McDonald’s doing a job she loves 5 days a week. She is very thankful for how kind and encouraging the staff at McDonald’s has been to her. The personal growth Kathy has attained over the last 17 years has given her feelings of positive self-worth and personal achievement. She is very thankful for the supports she has received over the years to make her life more meaningful.
